The Burger according to a typical Frisian recipe!


Potatoes 150 g
Cod fish 500 g
Salt 1 tsp
Eggs 2
Parsley, a little flour, breadcrumbs, a little oil, burger buns, tomato, cucumber, onion, remoulade Topping of choice


  1. Boil 150 g of potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes and mash them after draining the water.
  2. Cut 500 g of cod fish into small pieces and then puree in a blender with the potatoes and some parsley.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste. Form meatballs from the mass.
  4. Now coat the meatballs in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs and let them sit for a while.
  5. When the grill is up to temperature, brush the patties with a little oil and grill for about 5 minutes on each side.
  6. Then place the patties in the burger buns and garnish with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tartar sauce as desired. Enjoy your meal!
