THE BEST BREWING WATER:

We use only the best brewing water, in order to ensure the unique taste of Jever Pilsener. As long ago as 1898, Theodor Fetköter had a pipeline laid to the brewery, 4 km away from Jever, for that purpose. What makes our brewing water special is that it contains only a small amount of limestone, making it particularly soft.

Soft water is an important characteristic for the brewing of a high-quality, sleek Pilsener. Because our water is by its nature extraordinarily pure and soft, we can add more hops, which is where the unique taste comes from.
